Fleet Line executes Nigerian boat move

The 41 m x 8 m x 12 m crew boat, Stanford Pelican, was loaded onboard a BBC Chartering breakbulk vessel destined for Lagos, Nigeria. In order to securely stow the crew boat, the Fleet Line technical team had to design and fabricate a bespoke cradle based on technical drawings of Stanford Pelican.

The disassembled cradle was delivered to Mussafah port and the Fleet Line team assembled half of the cradle onshore, which was then lifted onto the breakbulk vessel. The remaining cradle parts were bolted together on board.

FLS celebrates warehouse opening

FLS celebrates warehouse opening

May 29 – Dubai-based Fleet Line Shipping (FLS) has opened its new warehouse facility dedicated to project cargo in Jebel Ali Free Zone.

The new warehouse is dedicated to project cargo handling activities, such as lashing and securing, and packing and crating, as well as LCL and LTL consolidation. FLS said that the facility will offer a “one-stop solution for project shipments”.

In addition to the new warehouse, FLS also offers a temperature-controlled facility with over 15,000 pallet positions.

July 14 – Fleet Line Shipping Services (FLS) has achieved global ISO 9001:2008 certification, accredited by UKAS.
